BhoteKoshi River Rafting, an adventurous endeavor with constant rapids along the steeps best described as a liquid rush! Throughout the two day trip, the skill and determination of the paddle crew are tested to the limits. The trip, with a refreshing freshwater route, is made mesmeric with the backdrop of the Himalayas to the north.

The Bhotekoshi River flows in from Tibet and has one of the steepest gradients of any raft river in Nepal. Despite being a just a little bigger than a mountain stream. Categorized among the most technical rivers in Nepal, the river provides continuous and challenging rapids from start to finish, which makes the crew screech often. The exhilarating journey is full of fun. Nasty drops pour overs and huge bumping boulders adds to the challenge. With an experienced guide, beginners find the journey a really enjoyable one, while being a challenge and thrill for an experienced rafter! The guides make expert decisions on where to haul the raft to get the most out of this river.

The Bhotekosi River Rafting is one of the most exciting short rafting trips. Get ready for action in the thrilling white waters! Prior experience or training is not necessary as safety precautions and rescue team is right next to the raft.

Best time to Raft on the BhoteKoshi River:

The best season to raft in the BhoteKoshi is September which follows monsoon and extends through October, November and sometimes too early December. During the spring thaw from March to May, the rivers area again ready, the best water being in April and May. Green Valley Nepal Treks recommends you to combine the rafting program with a trek in the Annapurna Region. A flight can be arranged from Pokhara to Kathmandu if you are short of time. You can also add a jungle safari to Chitwan or Bardia National Park if you are keen on watching the one-horned Rhino or the Tiger.

  • Day 02:Raft TimalBensi to RoshiKhola near Dunja Village.
  • Day 03:Raft from Dunja Village to the village of Khurkot
  • Day 04:Raft from Khurkot to Oxbox Section beach.
  • Day 05:Raft from Oxbox Section to the confluence of DudhKoshi.
  • Day 06:Raft from the junction of DudhKoshi to RasuwaKhola.
  • Day 07:Raft to broad beach bordered by a 400 ft high waterfall or KampuGhat.
  • Day 08:Raft to Tribenighat, where the Arun and Tamur join the Sun Kosi.
  • Day 09:Raft to Chatara, end of the rafting. Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
