Best time for Hidden Village and Gurja Himal Trek

Well, the trek to Gurja Himal is possible throughout the year. However, if you love the walk through the trails filled with Rhododendron blossoms, then Spring is perfect for you. During this season, the trails get adorned with the beautiful Rhododendron flowers. Moreover, the stable weather during this season lets you enjoy the astounding views of mountains and nature. Spring falls between March to May.

Autumn is the another best time for trekking to the Gurja Himal. The stable weather and moderate temperature keep you away from natural disasters. The clear skies allow you to cherish the enthralling views of mountains and the beautiful landscape. Autumn lasts from September to November in Nepal.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at KathmanduUpon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, our team member will greet you and assist you in the hotel at Kathmandu. If you wish, then you can stroll around the hotel for some time. We will also discuss all the trekking plans. You will spend overnight at the hotel.
  • Day 02Drive from Kathmandu to BeniAfter having the early breakfast we will enjoy a long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara, we will further move towards Beni. The captivating views of Annapurna astonish you while driving from Pokhara to Beni. We will spend overnight at Beni.
  • Day 03Beni to DharapaniWe will drive up the Myagdi Khola to Darbang. The road from Beni to Darbang is quite bumpy and dusty. Hence, if you wish, then you can also trek from Beni to Darbang. Continuing the trek from Darbang, we will stop at Dharapani for the overnight stay. We will get to see the stone-clad water-sprouts at the entrance of the village. Further, the views of Dhaulagiri and Gurja Himal is outstanding from here.
  • Day 04Trek from Dharapani to LulangPassing through the picturesque village of Takam and Sibang, we will reach Phalyagaon.
    From there, we follow the path that descends gently from Phalyagaon. Around one hour of trek, take us to the bridge across Dhar Khola. After crossing the bridge, there are two choices of the trail. The lower follows the trail along the river from where the trekkers climb gently towards Lumsung through an eye-catching waterfall. Another upper trail climbs directly to the main village of Lulang. Among these two trails, we will choose the second trail. Most of the people living in this village are either Bishwokarma of Kami. Stripes of red, white, and black mud adorn most of the houses of Lulang. We will stay overnight at Lulang.

  • Day 05Trek from Lulang to Gurja Khani via Gurja PassToday we walk early morning to enjoy the spectacular views from the Gurja Pass. A delightful climb through the Oak and Rhododendron forest takes us to the Gurja Pass. Around 3 hours of walk from the Pass, we will reach the bridge over Dhaula Khola. On the way, we will get to observe impressive landscapes and stunning views of Gurja Himal. We will climb on a stone steeps before reaching the hidden village of Gurja Khani.
  • Day 06Exploration at the Hidden villageHidden Village and Gurja Himal Trek become more exciting and reminiscing only after visiting the beautiful Gurja village. While staying at the Gurja village, we can enjoy the pony riding and a day hike to the foot of Gurja Himal. Trekkers can also relish the pleasant hot shower bath on the bathhouse constructed by the villagers. The overwhelming hospitality of the local people adds an extra essence to our journey.
  • Day 07Trek to LulangEnjoying the delicious local breakfast, we will trek along the trail, which leads us to the charming small settlement of Lulang. Crossing the small rivers, marvelous farmlands, and the dense forest we will reach Lulang.
  • Day 08Trek from Lulang to DarbangLeaving the Lulang behind today, we will trek down to Darbang. We will stay overnight at Darbang.
  • Day 09Drive from Darbang to PokharaOn this day, we will take a drive back to Pokhara. We can visit Talbarahi temple, World Peace Pagoda, Davis fall, and so on. Strolling around the tranquil city of Pokhara, you will get astonished by the beauty of Pokhara. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
  • Day 10Drive from Pokhara to KathmanduToday we will either take a scenic flight or drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. We will spend overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 11International Departureour crew will drop in the airport.
