Kali Gandaki River Rafting offers the thrill of rafting to the adventure savvy, with the region's scenic beauty as an added treat. Originating from the Mustang region, the river rushes down between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs carving one of the world’s deepest gorges. The three-day rafting trip is exciting for both experienced and novice rafters. Thrilling rapids encountered during the journey tests the skills of experienced rafters, while a beginner can take their time learning the techniques of maneuvering the raft for efficient descents.

After thoroughly enjoying the white water rafting in the Kali Gandaki River, you can either return to Kathmandu, visit the Chitwan National Park, or go trek to the famous Annapurna region for a trek a few days.

The route has a beautiful backdrop of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks and the sacred Machapuchare. After unloading all the equipment, an entire safety briefing session follows. A relaxing lunch follows, after which the guide will direct you to the start point of the rafting trip. At the beginning of the journey encounters some class III rapids which work as a warm-up for the team. After 10/15 minutes, the team has to step up to face two big class 4 rapids - Small Brother and Big Brother. The guide will provide instructions and make you work hard to maneuver the raft efficiently as a team. After scouting the rapid, the safety kayaks proceed first, following the raft. After encountering these two big rapids, a short wavy journey takes you to the Modi Khola confluence, where you can choose the beach for the evening campsite.

The house-sized boulder in the tributary of the deposition of Seti Beni River is considered a holy place in the Hindu religion. Hence this boulder is an important shrine to the local people living by the river. A great audience usually gathers to watch and listen as each team conquers the rapid that has formed around this holy place. The raft shortly ends after this, and we load up the gear and prepare for the bus journey back to Pokhara.
