Social Values in Nepal

Nepal is a secular nation, but a majority of the population are either Hindus or Buddhists. Apart from these, there are people who follow other religions like Islam, Jainism, Christianity, Sikhism extra, but they are the minority. Nepal is a very harmonious country when it comes to religion and tradition. The country can be said as a place with a unique culture. 

There are various ethnic groups and each group has its own festivals, language, delicacies, and their own different way of dressing up. This hundreds of people from different backgrounds as well as communities add flavor to the country, and travelers get tempted by the beauty and diversity of people living in this place. Each place of this country have their own group of an ethnic group who live in that particular area and their culture and way of living in that area can be seen. 

Along with that Nepalese people are considered to be the warmest and welcoming people in the world as they provide their best hospitality service to their guests.  In Nepal, people believe in “Atithi Devo Bhava”, which means that our guests are Gods and hence they try to provide all kinds of comforts to the guests.
